This year, Repton Abu Dhabi presented its inaugural Year 11 GCSE cohort, with students achieving exemplary results along with its sister school, Repton Dubai, which also celebrated outstanding performances for the&nbsp;12th&nbsp;consecutive year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the ongoing\nchallenges brought about by Covid-19, this year\u2019s IGCSE results have reflected\nRepton Abu Dhabi\u2019s unwavering resilience, determination and passion to achieve\nacademic excellence.&nbsp;As the first IGCSE cohort from Repton Abu Dhabi, students&nbsp;from the Fry Campus set\nthe precedent, with 100% of students achieving 5 or more GCSE grades 9-4 (A*-C)\nwhile&nbsp;44%&nbsp;were awarded\nthe maximum grade 9\/8\u2019s (A*) and&nbsp;64%&nbsp;of\nentries achieved&nbsp;the grade 9-7\u2019s (A*-A),\nan exceptional academic benchmark for future cohorts to follow.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repton Dubai showcased\nsimilar results with Reptonians taking the 2021 examinations, triumphing an\naveragegrade 7 (A grade) and exceeding the benchmark set by last\nyear\u2019s cohort.&nbsp;39%&nbsp;were\nawarded grades 9-8 (A*) with&nbsp;58%&nbsp;entries\nachieving 9-7(A*-A).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">David Cook, Chief\nEducation Officer of the Repton Family of Schools in the UAE and Headmaster at\nRepton Dubai says, \u201cAcademic Excellence is part of the Repton DNA and our\nstudents have consistently showcased phenomenal performances in the IGCSE\nexaminations. This year\u2019s results hold special value as we had two cohorts\nwithin the Repton community challenging themselves. I would like to thank all\nthe teachers, parents and students from Repton Abu Dhabi and Repton Dubai for\ntheir hard work and dedication in attaining the distinguished merits. A special\ncongratulations to Repton Abu Dhabi and its students on the exemplary\nperformance they have achieved in their first GCSE examinations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Repton Family of\nSchools in the UAE consists of dedicated and passionate teaching staff who have\nthe expertise to enhance students\u2019 academic and personal development, which\nbegins from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to Senior School,\npreparing students for their future endeavours. Every year, the Repton Family\nof Schools in the UAE offer the \u2018Repton Headstart\u2019 programme to further support\nthe Year 11 cohort following their GCSE final examinations. The month-long\nprogramme was designed to prepare students for their academic road ahead,\nbridging the gap between IGCSE, IB or A-Levels and university life.&nbsp; It offers a range of courses, including\n\u2018Finance for Teens\u2019, \u2018First Aid\u2019, \u2018EPQ Preparation\u2019, \u2018Study and Metacognition\nSkills\u2019, \u2018University and Career Guidance\u2019 and introductory A-Level or IB\nsessions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In recognition of\ntheir outstanding achievement, Repton Abu Dhabi has also offered its Year 11\ntop-performers academic scholarships at the Sixth Form for the next academic\nyear. Marina Perez Martin and Omar Abu Drya have received academic scholarships\nfor their remarkable performances, with Marina attaining&nbsp;grade 9\/8\u2019s (A*) and one grade 7(A) in\nall subjects and Omar securing&nbsp;grade\n9\/8\u2019s (A*) in all subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gillian Hammond,\nPrincipal of Repton School Abu Dhabi says, \u201cIt is truly an outstanding feat by\nour students, who have coped exceptionally well and triumphed despite the underlying\npressures of the pandemic.
